Knowledge is power

When you’re new to CBD, there are a lot of confusing terms that make it all the more difficult to choose the product that’s right for you.

We can help you make an informed decision on your CBD purchase.

First Off, what is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is just one of many compounds found in hemp.

CBD is not psychoactive and produces no euphoric state.

CBD can provide a sense of wellness by improving your physical and mental well-being.

CBD is natural and non-addictive.

What’s the Endocannabinoid System?

Your endocannabinoid system (ECS for short) is the largest receptor system and regulator of homeostasis in the human body.

When your ECS is functioning properly, your body is in homeostasis. Homeostasis is when your body’s systems are in balance. The receptors for your endocannabinoid system are located in your brain and throughout your central and peripheral nervous systems.

The two primary cannabinoid receptors are known as the CB1 and CB2 receptors. These two receptors play a slightly different role in your ECS. However, they’re both critical to helping you maintain optimal health.

CB1 receptors are mostly in the cells in your nervous system, spinal cord, and brain. They perform a variety of important functions including:

  • Helping you process memories
  • Regulating your mood
  • Helping you respond to pain
  • Helping you with motor control
  • Regulating your sleep cycle

CB2 receptors are found throughout your body within your immune cells. The primary role these receptors play in your body is fighting off inflammation.

Hemp and cannabis plants contain as many as 100 different phytocannabinoids!

Many of these phytocannabinoids are beneficial chemical compounds. CBD is a phytocannabinoid. Some of the other common ones include CBDA, CBDM, CBG, and CBC, as well as doxycycline terpenes.

Phytocannabinoids work by attaching to the cannabinoid receptors in your body. In a sense, they are able to “unlock” the potential of a cell, which results in many great benefits for our wellness.

There is a very strict set of criteria that hemp must meet to be considered organic.

For hemp to be considered organic, it must be grown and cultivated under certain conditions. The Department of Agriculture, the Organic Food Production Act, the USDA organic regulations doxycycline, and the National Organic Program all help regulate organic hemp farms in the United States. This helps ensure you are always getting high-quality, certified organic hemp from these farms.

In the world of CBD, you can get CBD isolate, broad-spectrum CBD, or full-spectrum CBD.

Each offers different benefits doxycycline. We use a “whole-plant approach” when producing our oil. The result is a highly-concentrated product that contains all the good-for-you cannabinoids and terpenes while avoiding THC.

All cannabis plants contain terpenes, which are the essential oils that can increase the benefits of CBD.

They also give CBD its taste and smell. When terpenes and cannabinoids are used together, research has shown that you get the maximum benefits from the cannabis plant.

What Are CBD

A CBD tincture is a liquid extract from the cannabis plant. This allows you to get the benefits of cannabinoid molecules through ingestion. CBD tinctures come in variety of flavors, but can also be purchased with no flavor. CBD tinctures can be used sublingually, orally or used to infuse food or drink.

After you ingest the oil from the tincture, the CBD, phytocannabinoids, and terpenes will absorb into your bloodstream directly, offering a quick and effective method of consumption.

How Do CBD
Topicals Work?

CBD topicals are absorbed through the skin.

There are a few different options for topical applications when it comes to CBD, including salves, lotions, and balms. These are readily absorbed into the skin and can be applied directly to specific areas. CBD topicals can be applied liberally when needed and take effect quickly.

Topical products are formulated to allow cannabinoids to pass through the protective layer of skin to provide relief. Topical application delivers concentrated relief in the spot where it is applied, instead of distributing throughout the entire body.

Our Pac CBD Salve is a wonderful place to start for topicals!
